Guardian Building Products (AUST) Pty Limited is an Australian owned and operated business who supply unique specialty and fabricated building products to the Australasian market.
Amongst it’s customers, Guardian is a trusted, reliable independant supplier of building products. With a focus on product quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, Guardian is focused on providing solutions for customer requirements.
Guardian is aligned with a number of major building manufacturers in Australia, which facilitates levels of technical and support services that is uniquely Guardian.
Guardian excels in a variety of products and solutions in the façade, tunnel lining, security and vandal board, lead lined board and washroom partition projects.
The Guardian Story
The business commenced in 1991 primarily as a distributor of James Hardie products. Initially Guardian promoted a single product range of James Hardie Fibre Cement giving us the opportunity to develop levels of technical knowledge and support services.
During these formative years, it became evident that a controlled diversification of both product and service were essential for the future growth and progress of the company. As such Guardian expanded its core activities whilst retaining a dedicated commitment to impeccable and effective customer service.
Our Directors
The directors of the company, Wayne Panton and Chris Aldridge, have a long history in the building products industry. They took over from the original founder of Guardian Building Products, Steve Tinworth in late 2019 when they acquired the business.

Guardian is committed to working with our customers, suppliers and staff to provide building solutions for customers which meet their requirements in an efficient, cost effective and innovative way. Customer service is not just a part of our business, it is our business!
Guardian is also committed to minimising the impact of what we do on the environment in which we work. We have for a number of years been recycling water used in our manufacturing process and are always looking at process improvements.
