Lead Lined Panel Technical Specifications

Lead lined panels comprise a single non-pierced sheet of Lead laminated to varying substrates such as MDF and Ply of specific thicknesses so as to meet specific site requirements.

The bonding is a continuous layer of sprayable contact adhesive and which is then pressed. The thickness and composition of the substrate is dependant on the thickness and weight of the Lead barrier which ensures adequate sheet strength.

Custom sizes for Lead lined panels can be fabricated to suit but a 2400 mm x 1200 mm sheet is the standard panel size for most applications.

Panels can be supplied fully laminated with Lead of the required thickness, or to a specified height along the panel.

We can fabricate a 20 mm Lead flap to one long side or trimmed to the sheet size, with 50 mm wide strips provided of the same Lead thickness and height for installation between all sheet joins.

Flush Panels

Flush Panels have Lead bonded directly to the back of the substrate as shown in the following diagram. An Ex Panel is available to allow for easy cutting of panels on site.

Flush Panels With Flap

Flush Panels with flap are the same as ordinary Flush Panels but with a flap to be used to cover joins between the panels as shown in the following diagram. An Ex Panel is also available to allow for easy cutting of panels on site.

Standard Rebated Panels

Standard Rebated Panels are manufactured with a rebate along one edge and a flap along the other edge.

This allows the flap to be installed into the rebate, removing the raised section which occurs where a strip of Lead, required to provide complete protection, is installed behind a sheet without a rebate.

An Ex Panel is available to simplify cutting on site.

The back edge of the panels can also be rebated allowing the flap if provided or strip, to be placed on the front of the panel after installation.
